IBLCE

IBLCE or the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners is the independent international certification body conferring the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®) credential.

IBLCE Exam Facts & Figures

1.      A governing body with representation from relevant stakeholders is charged with oversight of the IBLCE certification program.

2.      IBLCE was established in 1985, and the IBLCE certification examination has been administered in 21 languages and in more than 50 countries.

3.      The IBLCE certification program holds the prestigious National Commission of Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accreditation, which is a mark of quality for certification programs.

4.      Relying on the data from the practice analysis, a content outline or test blueprint was created. 

5.      The assessment process evaluates mastery of targeted knowledge.
